Sweta Sadhu is from Gujarat, India. She went on her KL-YES Exchange Program to the USA in 2016. Since her return in 2017, she has been actively engaged in various volunteering activities with AFS India at the local chapter and national levels. Sweta is a recipient of the prestigious AFS Young Volunteer 2021 Award and a delegate of the 27th Youth Assembly.
Presently, she serves the role of the President of her local AFS Chapter in India. She also interns at the National Office of AFS India where she takes care of alumni engagement and social media.
Sweta is currently pursuing Masters of Science in Botany and is passionate about working for SDG #13 – Climate Action. With an aspiration of becoming a professor as her career goal, Sweta is equally passionate about SDG #4 Quality Education and is always enthusiastic about teaching, whether it is to her peers, her juniors or the general public through any awareness campaigns that she participates in.
