Born in Barcelona, Spain, Aina Krupinski-Puig immigrated to the United States at the age of two. Raised by her mother in Bethesda, Maryland, she solidified her trilingual abilities by speaking Catalan at home and Spanish on her annual trips back to Barcelona. Her love for music stemmed from her passion for saxophone, which she developed by playing in various jazz bands and a Hip Hop Orchestra. Her multicultural background fostered a traveler’s mentality that led to journeys throughout Europe, the Caribbean and most recently, Kenya. There, she witnessed the devastating economic disparity and need for development, which inspired her to pursue a degree in Economics at the University of Maryland. Aina’s prospective minor in International Development and Conflict Management led to her work with the United Nations and drives her ambitions as a global citizen.
