Mashkur Isa is a doctor with a passion for global health, climate change, and youth empowerment. He serves as a Youth Ambassador for the European Cancer Leagues (ECL) where he advocates for cancer prevention in line with the European Code Against Cancer. Mashkur also currently serves as a coordinator for the International Youth Climate Delegate Program (IYCDP), an initiative overseen by the COP28 Youth Climate Champion in partnership with YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

He is also a program coordinator on the COP28 Children and Youth Pavilion Steering Committee, creating a space for youth voices and inclusion at COP. Moreover, he was on the organizing team of the annual UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY16&COY17). Under the Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative (GECCI), ClimateScience, and YOUNGO, he is constantly engaged in climate action.

Mashkur is an avid volunteer and has served as a Global Schools Advocate where he advocated for the inclusion of SDGs into school curricula in his community, an ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation promoting access to quality education, and a TeachSDGs ambassador, among others. He has also been actively involved in humanitarian efforts helping Ukrainian refugees who have fled the war. Mashkur is a returning outstanding AFS Youth Assembly Ambassador who has organized and moderated several conferences in addition to receiving numerous awards. He is an Erasmus Mundus alumni, Rotaractor, Climate Reality Leader, as well as an African changemakers fellow.
