The AFS Youth Assembly is excited to announce the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland as the venue for its 31st Session on August 12-14, 2026.
For the first time in the event’s 20-year history, the AFS Youth Assembly will be held in Geneva. The World Health Organization provides the ideal setting to welcome hundreds of young leaders from around the globe to the international capital of diplomacy.
Since 2004, the AFS Youth Assembly has gathered over 20,000 youth from more than 160 countries for dynamic discussions, global networking, and innovative action. The 2026 session will continue this tradition, cultivating a global network of young leaders and changemakers through exchange, education, and impactful action.
The theme for this year’s assembly is “Rise. Reimagine. Rebuild: A World for All,” organized in partnership with the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). During the session, Delegates will advance youth leadership in the following areas:
- Reclaiming Development as a Human Right for All
- Policy, Justice and Adaptation: Real-World Solutions for Climate Resilience
- Rethinking Education: Youth Innovation for Future-Ready Skills
- Bridging Divides: The Power of Connection in a Polarized World.
