Join our vibrant communications team and help capture the essence of the AFS Youth Assembly: As a Communications & Social Media Volunteer, you will play a key role in documenting the event, highlighting key takeaways, and featuring active and talented young delegates. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital conversation and showcase the impact of the Youth Assembly.
AFS Intercultural Programs is seeking volunteers to support the implementation and organizing of the 31st AFS Youth Assembly, which will take place from August 12-14, 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland. The AFS Youth Assembly is a conference that brings together the world’s foremost young leaders and changemakers at the heart of global change. With an annual participation of hundreds of youth from around the world the AFS Youth Assembly is a global network of emerging leaders, social innovators, and advocates for sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document the event and gather key takeaways to build engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Identify and engage with active and talented youth participants to feature on social media.
- Assist the communications/media team or partners in facilitating interviews or media activities.
- Take high-resolution and well-composed photos and videos of important moments and activities.
- Report to the head of Communications and collaborate with the team to ensure consistent messaging and coverage.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of the conference.
