Gurjot Kaur Singh is a 25-year-old passionate, active and youth-oriented leader from Brampton, Ontario, Canada with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree from Western University. Her work has revolved around addressing human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on gender equality. She has worked with various non-profit organizations in Canada and India, advocating for and raising thousands of dollars for marginalized communities.

Gurjot works extensively with YWCA, the largest and oldest gender equity organization in Canada, in their advocacy, policy-making and mentorship sector. She serves as their Youth Ambassador. She was a Delegate at the Youth Assembly in 2020 and has recently completed the Unite 2030 Youth Delegate program. She is now a mentor on Unite 2030. She is working on launching her own women-led social justice platform that will impact many SDG’s and educate and uplift marginalized groups. She is the recipient of the Woman of Inspiration Award in the Junior Advocate and Catalyst for Change category and has been nominated for Canada’s Top 40 Under 40. She is an aspiring lawyer. When she’s not engulfed in her work, she loves to read novels, travel and watch reruns of The Office!
