Climate action with young people at the heart of the development agenda, driving solutions, is essential and gives hope for small island developing states and other climate vulnerable countries

Jevanic Henry is a climate change and development professional with experience leading and supporting the development of environmental projects at multi-levels. He previously worked with the Foreign Service of Saint Lucia and Climate Change Unit or the Commonwealth Secretariat. 

In March 2023, Jevanic was appointed as the first Caribbean representative to the UN Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change, tasked with providing concrete recommendations for accelerating implementation of the SG’s climate action agenda. Jevanic is currently an Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) Fellow assigned to the Permanent Mission of Saint Lucia to the United Nations in New York.
