The Youth Assembly means finding solidarity with and among other youth from around the world advocating and acting for a better future.

Rachel Svetanoff is a social entrepreneur and youth activist with a history of supporting efforts to meet the SDGs. As the Foundations Partnerships Consultant for UNICEF USA, Rachel supports a $300 million international grant portfolio by working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and UN Foundation among others, to advance UNICEF’s role in these aligned efforts to achieve global public health, climate action, and innovation impact for youth worldwide. 

In her entrepreneurial pursuits, Rachel became a founding senior partner for Protea Consulting, LLC, with clients such as UNA award-winning fashion designer Berny Martin. She is also the Founder of the Project Energy for Life Cameroon Consortium which is implementing systemic solutions to elevate communities in rural Cameroon and is the Co-Founder of Global Futurist Initiative, a social enterprise that is advocating for adding SDG 18 Youth Equity to the current Global Goals. 

Rachel holds many concurrent appointments such as an Young Alumni Advisory Board member for Purdue University’s Vice Provost for Student Life, UNICEF’s Youth Marketplace Youth Council member, Mentor at The Trebuchet, Changemaker XChange North America founding member, and Strategic Advisor to InternetBar.Org Institute. She also has a history of youth appointments as an alumna of the following: International Monetary Fund Youth Fellowship, YOUNGA Forum, One Young World, Lichtenstein Institute for Strategic Development, and UNITE 2030.

Receiving numerous accolades, Rachel’s latest awards are the 2022 Gold Medal Presidential Volunteer Service Award by AmeriCorps and the 2023 Purdue Rising Professional honor for distinguished young alumni.
