Dr. Omopeju B. Afanu is a management consultant with expertise in the hospitality and real estate industries. She is the Founder/CEO of Cooperhouse Hospitality, recently engaged to provide training to over 100 youths in hospitality operations under the Lagos State Employability Support Programme funded by Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and UNDP .

She is passionate about impacting women and youths, and her core focus are leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development for growth. She is the president of WomenX-12 a group that comprises 36 female entrepreneurs sponsored by the World Bank to undergo entrepreneurial management training through which she supports women and youths to grow their businesses by providing training and workshop with some token financial support. She is currently working on a project that would serve as an interface between the government/politicians and the citizens; the primary aim of the project is to ensure that the impact of government expenditure is felt by the citizens through effective and efficient use of the resources while the citizens begin to reap the dividends of democracy thereby creating a win-win situation for all.

The core areas of focus: Youth through a project tagged Young LIVES; Women and; Community Infrastructural Development. The project would kick-start in one community as a pilot, and its success would enable her to effectively scale it to other communities and regions.  She is a mentor for the Tony Elumelu Foundation and VC4A MAke-IT Mentor Driven Capital Program.
