Be a part of the team that ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes at the AFS Youth Assembly: As a Supplies & Logistics Volunteer, you will play a critical role in creating a well-organized conference by helping ensure the smooth management of resources and logistical arrangements. This is an opportunity to contribute to the overall organization and efficiency of the conference.
AFS Intercultural Programs is seeking volunteers to support the implementation and organizing of the 29th AFS Youth Assembly, which will take place from August 16-18, 2024 in New York City. The AFS Youth Assembly is a conference that brings together the world’s foremost young leaders and changemakers at the heart of global change. With an annual participation of up to 1,000 youth and as many as 100 countries represented, the AFS Youth Assembly is a global network of emerging leaders, social innovators, and advocates for sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Opening & CultureFest set-up, decoration, artists coordination, tech booth and coordination.
- Be in charge of event supplies, ensuring they are well-maintained and accessible.
- Support delegate opportunities and sessions (Opportunities Fair, Action & Impact Hub, SDG Zone)
- Organize and distribute supplies and materials in appropriate areas/rooms.
- Usher delegates to meeting rooms and locations, providing guidance and assistance to ensure an excellent delegate experience.
- Provide directional assistance and traffic control on event days.
- Report to the Head of Logistics and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of the conference.
